I am WAY Behind With Blogging!
I only have time for a quick post, but I am still here, still chugging away with RIOY. I have just be so incredibly busy with the holidays, my sons birthday, helping my mom start a fiber art business and helping my friend with her kids and sick husband. That is why I have not had time to write detailed blog posts about RIOY and the happenings there. RIOY is still sending $300 monthly checks if you have sent in your deposit. I received mine today. After taking a month off to recuperate some money lost in a program that did not produce, Karl is back to his word of sending the monthly check to cover the cost of product in both LHN and Maxegen. I have learned one thing with everything that has happened with RIOY, DEVERSIFY! I love RIOY, but I would like to be able to have multiple streams of income. I know, I know, I have been slacking when it comes to updating my blog since I got back from my vacation! There are just times when life gets in the way of promoting my lovely home based business. RIOY-Admin Made Some Changes
The RIOY admin has made some changes to the way we can advertise our program. We are no longer allowed to reveal details of how the program works on websites outside of the RIOY back office. This is a way to protect the program so that people are getting the appropriate information. Since we have had some changes in the system, this is the best way for people to get the most up to date, correct information.
So if you have read this blog before and are reading it again, I had to change many of my posts to reflect this new RIOY admin requirement. I believe in the long run, this is a way to protect the whole program. I still believe highly in this system and I will be sharing my personal experience with it on this blog with you. RIOY had another groundbreaking conference call last night. Things are growing and expanding and getting better every day in this home business. RIOY and Karl Green have added a program that is more internationally friendly than the current health and wellness company. RIOY- Building those Valuable Backlinks
Last week I made a post about backlinks. I have spent much time the past few days trying to develop backlinks to my sites. What are backlinks you ask? Well they are links from other sites on the internet that link to your site. The more backlinks you have the better your ranking in the search engines are. Although, from some of the reading I have done, it is good to have quality backlinks if you have high competition in your keywords. A quality backlink is one that the page with the backlink has a page rank in the search engines of about 5 and up. It is a lot of work getting those backlinks. Well at least it is for me, someone who is learning the process. I am just figuring all this out, so it seems that it is working as I have seen my sites rise in the page ranks of google. My purpose for using backlinks is of course to promote the RIOY program. I cannot say enough about it. I truly feel like this program is saving my life. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment as well as the feeling that I am helping my family get to financial freedom.

Promoting RIOY is Not Necessary, but Definately a Bonus
The RIOY system is so well thought out that it is not necessary that you promote or advertise the program. RIOY will still help you build your home business, even if you never promote it. BUT, and this is a big but, your business will grow much faster if you use some of your time to promote the wonderful opportunity that is RIOY!
That does not mean you have to spend any money on advertising. On the contrary, there are many free ways of promoting online without spending a dime. I am doing one of them right now, blogging! What a fast and easy way to get information out there about your program, especially RIOY! You can write 10 blogs if you want to!
Another great free way to promote is through article writing. You can write articles and submit them to online directories to drive traffic to your site or program. Program reviews are a great idea for an article. People love to hear testimonials!
Making your presence known on forums that allow you to place links to your program or website in your signature is another form of free advertising. If you search for forums related to your program you can start a thread there or participate in an existing one. It is a great way to get the word out about your program, such as RIOY, and drive traffic to your sites!
Write a lens in Squidoo. They are super simple, absolutely free and fun to make at that! It's like blogging, you can make as many as you want to!
I have been putting all these methods to the test with my promotion of the RIOY system. I have seen an increase in traffic to my blog and lens each week and in turn seen more leads in my back office at RIOY. I am well on my way to building a successful home business thanks to the folks like Karl Green and his generous offer in the RIOY program.

There is So Much to Learn About Online Business
My life the past few days has been learning about gaining backlinks. I don't totally understand this concept yet, but I have found that for a blog that means submitting to RSS feed sites. I don't really know what that means yet either, but I did find a good one www.rsshugger.com. I am hoping to see increases traffic here from that site. I have also found some good blogs on the concept of building backlinks to increase your search engine ranks. Here they are:

Retire In One Year- RIOY System - A Saving Grace
I am so excited about the new RIOY system. I am set to get my first check from RIOY to help build my business in about a week. I am ready to get my business built and rolling. RIOY - The Rock In My Crazy Life
The past few weeks have been a rough and trying time for me and my family. Our best friend has brain cancer. Although he is not technically related, he and his family are family to us. We travel together. Have holidays together. We were there when their babies were born. You get the idea. He found out the beggining of 2008 he had a tumor and stage 3 brain cancer. His type of cancer is terminal. He has had a few surgeries and things were going fairly well for a few months. Recently he has had some trouble and been in and out of the hospital. The doctors have been adjusting his medications trying to help things. As of right now, he is in the hospital again and has lost the function of his left hand and leg. He cannot walk anymore. The doctors are not sure what is going on. They don't know if the tumor is coming back or not. Everything is up in the air right now. His wife and 2 kids (ages 5 1/2 and 4) are having a really rough time. I have been helping to take care of the kids while they are both at the hospital.
We recently went on vacation with them. While we were there, he told my husband that he was glad that his kids would have him as a father growing up since he wouldn't be there. He is so young, it is so sad to think he won't be able to raise his own kids.
Amist all this I have started this new home business to help to alleviate the money issues in my own family (that is another long story). I feed like my business has been the rock in my life the past few weeks. How weird is it to say that? Most people stress about their business and trying to get things started. I have none of those worries with the RIOY program. I feel like it is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time, well besides having my son! I feel secure in my investment and my future. I know that I am going to have a real home business that is going to have a steady, long term income and RIOY is going to help me build it. The best feeling is that I am not alone in this. I have everyone at RIOY helping me as well as my great team and sponser. And believe me when I say they are a great team who is supportive in my business and as friends. This is a remarkable opportunity. Don't waste another minute. I have learned that life is short and those minutes may be too few.

A Business That Works For You
The beauty of an internet business is that it works for you 24 hours a day. Now, I am not saying that you can have a business online and not do anything and make a ton of money. But, if you put some work into it, like getting yourself out there and driving traffic to your site, then it really does work while you are doing other things. A Toast to Success in Online Business
Since I am just starting out in my adventure into the online world of business, I have had every emotion from excitement to sheer terror at what I am doing. Today I found a quote in an email I received and it really hit home for me.
"Always remember one branch leads to another. Do not be afraid of the failure. Each failure is an experience gained for the next success. The longest journey starts with the first step and the hardest step is the first one."
I have taken my first step with RIOY and after all of the amazing press we have had on the internet lately, I feel like this is the right step for me. I am no longer terrified and I know that I have gotten into the best program out there right now. This is a way for me to contribute to my family's finances and have a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. I know the other stay at home mom's out there know that sometimes life with the little ones can get a little redundant and you need to feel like you need to do something "adult".
