Yamaha Artists Dennis DeLucia, Part II
Yamaha Artist Dennis DeLucia, one of the most in demand percussion clinicians in the United States talks to Joel Tetzlaff – Product Manager for Yamaha Percussion.
Dennis DeLucia has been a Yamaha artist since 2001. He is best known for his accomplishments with championship drum corps including the Hawthorne Muchachos, Bayonne Bridgemen, Star of Indiana and the Crossmen. His drumlines have won sixteen championship High Percussion titles, including the only Triple Crown in drum corps history – (1981). He is the first percussionist to have been inducted into both the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame and the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame.
Joel Tetzlaff has been with the Yamaha Percussion team since 1997 and works out of the Buena Park office in California. Joel has a Bachelors Degree in Music Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He has played in various performing groups and marched in the Madison Scouts from Madison, Wisconsin.

WGI Preview 2007
Winter Guard International is an organization that supports the competitive indoor marching activities of percussion and color guard. Known as "Sport of the Arts," WGI combines music, movement and props into a theatrical production. Now entering its 30th year, the sport is evolving and growing, with over 11,000 participants and 375 groups at the Sport of the Arts World Championships this past April.
Founded in 1977 the organization originally supported indoor color guard only, with percussion being added in 1992. Since then, eight classes have been created to accommodate indoor percussion's rising popularity.
At the 2006 WGI Championships, more performing ensembles were using Yamaha percussion products than any other brand. As a Championship sponsor, Yamaha is very excited to preview the 2007 Sports of the Arts WGI season.
