Volcom Stone's Starfish Surf Series - Huntington Beach, Ca
The second stop of the Starfish Surf Series event went off at HB pier with some incredible waves. Looking at the forecast we were pretty worried about the lack of swell, but first light Saturday morning we were greeted with some 4-6 ft waves. The turnout was one of the biggest we’ve ever seen with sign ups reaching maximum capacity by 6:50 AM! Music by: Amored Assassin.

Volcom Surf team at the 2008 NSSA Nationals
The time we all spent down at Lowers last week was was nothing less than terrific. One of the best things about the event is getting to see and catch up with all of the people that we see only once a year for the contest. Cody McEntire gets a dozen tricks in Arizona
This little session occurred during our recent trip to Phoenix, AZ. I was doing some filming at Pecos Park and I could see Cody attacking the cement quarter pipe in the middle of the park. I skated up and asked him to film some stuff for a 10-tricks clip on the website. Well, he got to ten and the session was still heated so I kept recording. It looks like he gave you guys a few extra. Apples, Trapasso, Duncombe & Gonzalez movie from Costa Rica

2008 VQS Totally Crustaceous Muscle Beach Champs!
After 76 events in 16 countries around the world, the vast field of competitors was narrowed down to 256 for the 2008 VQS World Championships Muscle Beach Party. Each of them qualified in their respective regions and made their way to Newport Beach for this muscular event of steroidal proportions. Once all of the gym membership forms were filled out, the fitness center was opened and the intense iron pumping sessions began. Right from the start the competition was strenuous and you could really feel the burn!
