(Play It) Rick Wakeman Retrospective
In the absence of Alice, EddyB presented a Rick Wakeman "retrospective". Wakeman is his singular favourite musician of all time, and as many of you know Eddy has wanted to do a show on his work for ages. Without Alice there to cramp his style and insist on playing "other" things, this was his chance! HOORAY! If you don't like the idea of 2 hours of prog rock, have a listen anyway as there's a real mix of stuff. On the other hand, if you do like the idea of 2 hours of prog rock then you may be surprised by what's on offer!
(Play It) The DaddyB Special
Hello there!
Yes indeed it's taken a while but DaddyB joined us today, LIVE in our very own human house, to take part in a show. With him! On Halloween! For a whole 2 hours! You can download it by clicking the post title. Go on, do it now!
He got a bit tipsy, by the way.
(Play It) Sziget Special 2007
Hello there!
I haven't uploaded a show for far too long, but as we spent AAAAAGES putting together our Sziget Special 2007 it's only right that we pop it on the web to share with all you lovely people :)
Sziget is a music and arts festival that runs for a week in early August on an island in the middle of the Danube near Budapest, Hungary. We went last year and enjoyed it so much we decided to go again - but this time with press accreditation so we could share some of the sounds and atmosphere of the festival on our show.
It's pointless me waffling on too much more when you could just download the show and listen to it yourself, but here's an overview of what's included anyway...
(Play It) 9th May - You've Got a Friend
Hello there! Today began slowly with EddyB not really being "with it", but soon snowballed into a rollercoaster of chortles and fun. We were linking to Kev's choice of song, and later on gave him a call to discuss the household problems of Tim1701, Dutchy, and Steph. This week the one-and-only Maz joined us to play UKNova Radio Bullseye, and blimey did she do well! Next week we'll be linking to Charlene's I've Never Been to Me - a song EddyB had never heard of but, now he's got a copy, knows rather well. - London Calling – The Clash
